I am qualified to supervise LCSW, LMFT and LPC candidates. I have been supervising other therapists in both agency settings and in private practice for twenty years. I worked in an ER setting for 13 years and have done thousands of psychiatric evaluations with people in acute crisis; I have had specialized training in rapidly engaging clients and still doing thorough assessment. I provide direct and clear feedback and modeling in supervision, and sometimes offer stories of my own less-than-flawless interventions as teaching tools. I continue to learn and grow, and greatly enjoy helping supervisees connect theory with practice, and in preventing professional burnout.
